This course is for nurses, certified nurse midwives, and physicians to review test content and competencies to prepare for the National Certification Corporation (NCC) subspecialty examination in electronic fetal monitoring. The content includes a review of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) pattern recognition and interpretation, physiology of fetal oxygenation, and effects of complications of labor and maternal conditions on the fetal heart rate.
